This web site is maintained by members of the Wright and Malinda Cherry family. The image above was made sometime during the 1910-1920’s and includes Wright and Malinda (front) and eleven of their thirteen children. The picture was made on the family farm just south of Ahoskie, NC.

Our family reunions continue to expand and connect with a broad range of relatives. The current research includes the descendants of Judy Outlaw (Wright’s mother), Madison, Caroline, Harriet and Sarah Cherry (Wright’s siblings); Annie Gilliam (Malinda’s mother); Cherry Gilliam and Lidia Gilliam (Malinda’s aunts); and Ellen Walton (Wright Cherry’s first wife). These names represent a partial list of ancestors used to unravel the narrative of our family’s origins, primarily first established in North Carolina.
